A FALLEN ANGEL
A FORBIDDEN LOVE
Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.
The characters weren’t perfect, which gave a reminder that no one is actually perfect in reality and everyone has their faults and makes mistakes. I that found that Nora’s character had difficulties in making decisions in her life, and got easily jealous when another girl called Dabria was in the picture of her relationship with Patch. Though I found Nora’s jealously of Dabria incredibly annoying and pointless, it is true that people let unnecessary emotions get in the way of making the right decisions. As the book series progress, Nora’s character matures and develops. As for Patch, he had the tall, dark, mysterious and bad-boy personality thing going on for him that you either loved or hated.
I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoyed Fallen by Lauren Kate, Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, or if you simply enjoy reading YA novels about Angels or Nephilim.
When I first started reading Hush, Hush, I hated it, so I decided to read something else. One day I came across Cynthia Hand’s fantastic series Unearthly, so I started reading that. After I finished the Unearthly series, I fell in love with angel books. So then I decided to continue reading Hush, Hush. As soon as I finished the first book to the series, I couldn’t get enough of Patch and Nora’s love. I just had to barge into the next book. When Patch was spending quality time with Nora’s archenemy Marcie, I cried the most I had ever cried in my life while reading. I was punching everything I could get my hands on except for the book (I would never hurt a book)…
When Becca Fitzpatrick finally revealed the truth, I went Happy for days. My favourite book was the last book – Finale.
